Finally!!!! I was able to finish a SEWING project today :)

Sorry for the lack of post lately.  My family has been out of town for the last week due to two family members who have had invasive surgery.  Here on the East Coast, we have had lots of rain thanks to Beryl.  But we needed the rain and I was able to finish a long awaited project.... a shower curtain for my girl's bathroom!  I am not a seamstress by an means but I would LOVE to learn to make all kinds of things.  It took me all day but I am so pleased with the finished product.

Monogrammed Graduation Gifts

Boy, has it been busy at my house!  My girls finished up school on Friday and I have been working on end of the year teacher gifts and graduation presents.  I forgot to take a pictures of the beach chairs I monogrammed for the teacher' s gift so the picture posted is from last year.  The graduation gift is done and they all turned out really cute.  It is apparent that she loves the zebra print and that her dorm room will be styling! Teacher Appreciation - Day 5

Although we appreciate our teachers for all they do to help our kids be the best they can be while in their care all year long, today was the last day for Teacher Appreciation Week.   I had the students bring in gift cards for a gift card "tree" to present to the teacher as the main gift for the week.  The gift cards do not have to be a large amounts.... they ranged from $5 to Dairy Queen to $25 to The Gap.  Some parents used this as their end of the year gift too. The idea came as I received a similar gift for my birthday and it was awesome!   The teachers absolutely loved it too :)  What is not to like, right?

Teacher Appreciation - Day 4

Today's gift idea was spa and beach themed baskets.  The students in the classes brought in items for their basket and presented it to the teacher.  It was a great gift idea that did not break the bank!

Teacher Appreciation - Day 3

Our PTO furnished the main entree at a  luncheon today for the teachers and the parents brought in side dishes so I did not ask the class to do anything else today.  However, my girls LOVE their teachers and wanted to do something special every day this week so I made them all a pencil door hanger as their gift for today. They turned out really cute and the teachers loved them!!!

Monogrammed or Personalized Buckets

These buckets turned out soooo cute!  This was a custom order from a parent as a "gift bag" for their child's teacher appreciation gift.  She planned beach themes for them but you could do just about any theme: spa, ice cream sundae, coffee, etc....   You may purchase these cute buckets at www.markivy.com or by emailing me!

Teacher Appreciation Day 2

Made By The Students.... Homemade Cards!  Today the student's gave the teachers the cards they made with lots of thought, love, and appreciation.  There were so many cute cards, hugs given, and happy faces.  This is a great way to show how much you care or appreciate someone without much cost if any!

Teacher Appreciation Day 1

Teacher Appreciation Week begins tomorrow and being that I am an educator, I know what a day's work in the classroom is like!  Therefore, I love to pamper my girl's teachers throughout the year but especially this particular week.  I have been the room mom for both my girl's classes for 5 years now and I love planning things for the teachers and the students.   So, for Day One....First thing in the morning as students enter the classroom, I am going to hand them each a cut flower stem to give the teacher and I made these cute little monogrammed vases for the flowers to go in.  Flowers are so pretty and smell wonderful... sure to brighten her day!
